Welcome to LTG ("Lose To Gain"), a health and fitness app designed to help you track calories, monitor steps, stay hydrated, track real-time workouts, join communities, earn achievements, and reach your health goals. We care about your privacy and are committed to protecting your personal information.

This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights when using the LTG mobile application ("App"). By using LTG, you agree to the collection and use of information as described in this policy.

1. Information We Collect

1.1 Information You Provide

When you create an account and use LTG, you may provide:

  • Account Information: Email address, display name, password (encrypted and hashed — never stored as plain text)
  • Profile Information: Name, date of birth, sex, height, weight, target weight, activity level
  • Health Goals: Weight loss or gain targets, desired timeline, calorie and steps goals, goal customization preferences
  • Fitness Data: Meals you log (including scanned meals), calorie entries, water intake records, completed workouts, activity sessions
  • Community Data: Community/crew names, challenge participation, leaderboard contributions, invite codes shared
  • Sign-In Data: Information from Google or Apple if you choose to sign in with them (name, email, profile identifier)

1.2 Information Collected Automatically

When you use the App, we automatically collect:

  • Device Information: Device type, operating system version, unique device identifiers
  • Usage Data: Features you use, pages you visit, session duration, interactions (taps, navigation), theme preferences
  • Steps and Activity: Step counts and activity data from Apple HealthKit (iOS) or Google Fit (Android), only with your permission
  • Activity Tracking Data: When you use the activity tracker: elapsed time, step count, distance, pace, detected intensity (light/moderate/vigorous), and route via GPS (if location permission is granted)
  • Crash Reports: Error logs, stack traces, and performance data to help us fix bugs and improve stability
  • Gamification Data: XP earned, level, badges earned, quest progress, streak counts

1.3 Information from Third-Party Services

With your permission, we may access:

  • Apple HealthKit / Google Fit: Step count, active minutes, and fitness data. We read this data to power step tracking. We may write workout data back to sync your fitness records.
  • Social Sign-In: Basic profile info (name, email) when you sign in with Google or Apple
  • Music Services: If you connect Apple Music or Spotify for activity sharing, we temporarily access your recently played tracks and current playback info (track name, artist, album art). We do not store your music library.

1.4 Camera and Photos

  • Meal Scanning: When you use the camera to scan meals, photos are processed on-device using machine learning. Images are used for real-time detection and are not stored on our servers after processing.
  • Activity Sharing: If you choose to create a shareable activity card, you may grant access to your photo library to select custom backgrounds. The resulting share images are generated on-device.

1.5 Location Data

  • Activity Tracker GPS: If you grant location permission, LTG records your route during activity sessions for distance calculation and route map display. Location data is stored locally on your device as part of your activity history and is not transmitted to our servers except as part of distance/step metrics synced to your account.
  • Background Location (iOS): During active workout sessions, LTG may use background location to keep your Live Activity (Dynamic Island / Lock Screen) updated in real time. Background location is only active during a workout session and stops when the session ends.

We do not track your location outside of active workout sessions.

2. How We Use Your Information

2.1 Power the App

  • Calculate your personalized calorie targets, steps goals, and hydration recommendations
  • Track your daily calories, steps, hydration, and workouts
  • Create weight management plans tailored to your profile
  • Monitor your progress, streaks, and gamification achievements
  • Sync your data across sessions and (for premium users) across devices

2.2 Give You Insights

  • Generate smart notifications and contextual health tips
  • Provide weekly digest reports with narrative analysis of your progress
  • Offer smart meal suggestions based on your eating patterns
  • Detect workout intensity in real time based on your pace
  • Track XP, quests, and achievements based on your activity

2.3 Power Community Features

  • Display your display name, avatar, and relevant activity metrics to other members within communities you join
  • Sync your challenge progress to community leaderboards
  • Rank participants and reveal challenge results at scheduled times

2.4 Send You Reminders

  • Meal reminders (breakfast, lunch, dinner)
  • Hydration reminders based on your goal and progress
  • Step and activity nudges
  • Streak alerts to protect your progress
  • Challenge updates and quest completion notifications
  • Weekly digests (if enabled)
  • Smart contextual notifications (if enabled)

All notifications can be individually controlled or disabled entirely in the App's settings.

2.5 Make the App Better

3. Automated Features

3.1 How Insights Work

LTG uses algorithms to generate personalized notifications, weekly digest narratives, smart tips, meal suggestions, and quest descriptions. Here's how we handle your data:

  • Anonymized Data Only: When we use cloud services, we only send anonymized, contextual numbers — things like step percentages, calorie ratios, hydration progress, time of day, and activity patterns. We never send your name, email, profile photo, or anything that personally identifies you.
  • Your Data Isn't Used for Training: Our providers do not use your data to train their models.
  • Fallback to On-Device: When cloud services are unavailable or you're offline, insights are generated locally using template-based systems — nothing leaves your device.

3.2 Meal Scanning

When you use the camera to scan a meal:

  • Image recognition runs on-device using machine learning
  • Photos are processed in real time and are not uploaded to our servers or any cloud service
  • You can review, edit, and approve everything before it's logged to your calorie history
  • Scan usage is tracked locally to manage free-tier limits

3.3 Usage Limits

Free users have a daily cap on generated content (e.g., 3 generation calls per day for notifications). Premium users have unlimited access. These limits are tracked locally on your device.

4. Data Storage and Security

4.1 Where Your Data Lives

  • Cloud: Your account, profile, fitness logs (calories, steps, hydration, weight history), gamification progress, and community data are stored securely in cloud infrastructure with encryption at rest and in transit.
  • Your Device: Preferences, cached data, activity history, gamification state, and offline data are stored locally on your phone using encrypted local storage.
  • Subscription Data: Subscription status and purchase history are managed by a third-party payment processor and the respective app store (Apple App Store or Google Play).

4.2 How We Protect It

  • All data is encrypted in transit (HTTPS/TLS) and at rest
  • Passwords are cryptographically hashed — never stored as plain text
  • Authentication uses industry-standard secure protocols
  • Premium workout content is protected from screenshots and screen recording
  • Community invite codes are randomly generated and unique
  • We use secure, authenticated API calls for all cloud operations
  • Session tokens and authentication states are managed securely on-device

4.3 How Long We Keep It

  • While You Use the App: We keep your data as long as your account is active
  • After Deletion: When you delete your account, your personal data (profile, fitness logs, calorie history, step records, hydration data, gamification progress, and activity history) is permanently removed from our cloud systems. Some anonymized, aggregated data that cannot identify you may be retained for analytical purposes.
  • Community Data: When you delete your account, you are removed from all communities. Your historical challenge contributions may remain in aggregated leaderboard results but will no longer be linked to an identifiable account.
  • Local Data: All locally stored data is cleared when you delete your account or sign out.

5. Data Sharing

5.1 We Don't Sell Your Data

Plain and simple: we do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to anyone.

5.2 Services We Use

We work with trusted third-party services to operate the App. These services fall into the following functional categories:

Each of these services operates under their own privacy policies and terms. We only share the minimum data necessary for them to perform their function.

5.3 Community Data Sharing

When you join a community or participate in a challenge:

  • Your display name, avatar, and challenge-relevant metrics (e.g., steps, calories, distance depending on the challenge type) are visible to other members of that community
  • Your rank on leaderboards is visible to other challenge participants
  • Community creators can see member lists and participation status
  • We do not share your email, date of birth, weight, or other sensitive profile data with other community members

5.4 Activity Sharing

When you create and share an activity card:

  • The share card is generated on your device
  • When you share to a social platform (Snapchat, Instagram, WhatsApp, X, etc.), the content leaves LTG and is governed by that platform's privacy policy
  • We do not control or have access to content once it's shared externally

5.5 Legal Disclosure

We may share your information if required by law, legal process, or governmental request, or to protect the safety of our users, enforce our Terms, or respond to a security emergency.

5.6 Business Transfer

If LTG is ever acquired by or merged with another company, your data may transfer to them. We'll notify you in the App before any such transfer occurs and give you the option to delete your account.

6. Children's Privacy

LTG is not intended for children under the age of 7. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 7. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us at sidneyokineno@gmail.com and we will promptly delete it.

Users between 7 and 13 should use the App with parental or guardian supervision and consent.

7. Your Choices and Rights

7.1 Access Your Data

You can view your fitness history, profile information, calorie logs, step records, hydration data, activity history, gamification progress, and community memberships anytime within the App.

7.2 Update Your Info

Change your profile, weight, goals, preferences, display name, and avatar whenever you want in the Profile section.

7.3 Delete Your Account

You can delete your account at any time. Go to Profile settings and tap "Delete Account." When you do:

  • Your profile, fitness logs, calorie entries, step records, hydration data, and activity history are permanently deleted from our cloud systems
  • You are removed from all communities and challenges
  • Your gamification progress (XP, badges, quests) is permanently deleted
  • Local data on your device is cleared
  • Active subscriptions are not automatically cancelled — you must cancel your subscription through your app store settings separately

No hard feelings — we hope you achieved your goals.

7.4 Control Notifications

Turn individual notification types on or off in the App's settings:

  • Smart reminders (smart contextual notifications)
  • Weekly digest reports
  • Hydration reminders
  • Live step updates
  • Challenge and quest alerts

You can also disable all notifications through your device's system settings.

7.5 Revoke Health Permissions

You can stop LTG from accessing Apple HealthKit or Google Fit data anytime through your phone's privacy settings. This will limit step tracking and activity features, but everything else will still work.

7.6 Disconnect Music Services

You can disconnect Apple Music or Spotify at any time. Disconnecting removes stored tokens and stops all access to your music data.

7.7 Revoke Location Access

You can revoke location permission at any time through your device settings. The activity tracker will still work for time and step tracking, but distance calculation and route maps will be unavailable.

7.8 Leave Communities

You can leave any community at any time. Leaving removes you from the member list and future challenges. Your past challenge contributions may remain in aggregated leaderboard data.

7.9 Rights Under Privacy Laws

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have additional rights including:

  • Right to Access — Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you
  • Right to Rectification — Request correction of inaccurate data
  • Right to Erasure — Request deletion of your data (same as account deletion)
  • Right to Restrict Processing — Request that we limit how we use your data
  • Right to Data Portability — Request your data in a portable format
  • Right to Object — Object to processing of your data for certain purposes

8. Cookies and Tracking

LTG is a mobile application and does not use browser cookies. We use:

  • Analytics events: Anonymized, in-app usage events to understand feature adoption and user flows. These do not track you across other apps or websites.
  • Device identifiers: Used solely for crash reporting, analytics, and preventing abuse of free-tier limits (e.g., meal scan quotas persist per device).

We do not use third-party advertising trackers, cross-app tracking, or fingerprinting.

9. Data Transfers

Your data may be processed in countries other than your own, as our cloud infrastructure operates globally. When this happens:

  • Data is protected by encryption in transit and at rest
  • We ensure that any international transfers comply with applicable data protection laws
  • Our cloud providers maintain industry-standard security certifications

10. Third-Party Links

The App may contain links to external websites or resources. We're not responsible for how those sites handle your data, so review their privacy policies if you have concerns. This includes links within workout content, community descriptions, or any user-shared content.

11. Live Activities (iOS)

On supported iOS devices, LTG can display real-time workout data on the Dynamic Island and Lock Screen. During an active workout:

  • Workout data (elapsed time, steps, distance, intensity) is shared with iOS via Apple's ActivityKit framework for display purposes only
  • This data is stored temporarily in a shared App Group container on your device
  • Live Activity data is automatically cleared when the workout session ends
  • No Live Activity data is transmitted to our servers

12. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do:

  • We'll update the "Last Updated" date at the top
  • We'll notify you in the App for any significant changes
  • We'll make the updated policy available at our website

If you continue using LTG after updates, that means you accept the revised policy. If you don't agree, you can stop using the App and delete your account.
